The Final WCW Monday Nitro

Monday, March 26, 2001, 8 P.M.

The mid to late 90's-professional wrestling, nu metal, rap rock, and pop culture t-shirts ruled the roost. Hot Topic was a new store, rave music was just catching on and every Monday in America, someone, somewhere was having a Nitro Party! With stars like Bill Goldberg, Hollywood Hogan, Randy Savage, Sting, and the Cruiserweights, World Championship Wrestling set the world on fire with their prime time answer to Vince McMahon's Monday Night Raw. Featuring Cutting Edge Graphics, Hot Music, even Hotter Nitro Girls, the high flyers and bruising brawlers of Ted Turner and Co.'s WCW overtook the World Wrestling Federation and became the top dog of wrestling.
But all good things must come to an end. After the merger of AOL/Time Warner and a combination of mismanagement of funds and talent, WCW began to slip in the ratings. With a director of programming that may or may not have had previous ties with the McMahon Empire, Brad Seigel, TNT cancelled WCW Nitro and with that cancellation the hope that Nitro could turn things around.  Here it is though fans, in it's entirety, the final and complete WCW Monday Nitro. Featuring the stars you know and love, and the infamous VKM Speech. What could have been the greatest angle in wrestling history was squandered due to ego, but at least we have our memories.
