 Frequently Asked Questions

Why don't you have more well known guest?

Honestly, I think my guests are well known, they just are usually known to a niche audience. I find that the most interesting and unique characters in the world of prowrestling are usually the ones that haven't been given their due. My personal philosophy is this: I can find all kinds of interviews and videos with what the mainstream media would label as a "Superstar", so why would I want to do another boring fluff piece? I want to talk to the true professional wrestlers, the ones who have respect for this business and those that came before them. The ones who have all the talent in the world and haven't had the opportunity (yet) to tell their stories.

Why do you do the show?

I'm a wrestling fan, more particularly I'm a fan of wrestling the way I remember it, over the top characters, ring technicians, and storytellers. I do the show to try and bring the wrestling that I love to more people. I think that alot of people who watch wrestling right now may not know about the different wrestling organizations who are running shows that are more affordable, more entertaining, and more fan friendly than what they are accustomed to. I do the show to support true professional wrestling and the courageous athletes who risk life and limb to entertain the audience.

Why don't you appear on the show except for the opening and why don't you give PPV Predictions or thoughts on wrestling?

Honestly, I made the show to focus on the wrestlers. I'm not here to get myself over. I'm already successful in life and the focus should be on the wrestlers being interviewed and what they are here to talk about. Secondly, who the hell am I to criticize anyone? Some of the stuff that I may see might not be my thing, it doesn't make it bad. It's like this, I love the Doors, but I don't like every Doors song that they released, does that make them a horrible band or does that mean the song was bad? Of course not, it only means I wasn't into it. Far be it from me to criticize anyone involved in wrestling. Lastly, I have a really hard time listening to couch jockeys talk about stuff they don't really know anything about or criticize people that they don't even know especially over things they could never even attempt themselves. I will, from time to time, talk about stuff that happened or is happening in the world of pro wrestling, but generally speaking I only like to talk about stuff that I like. Life is too short to dwell on negative things, ultimately, wrestling is just a show, to allow anything to consume you and make you miserable is not only stupid, it's sad and pathetic. If you don't like what you are watching, then turn it to something else.

What is www.hirepowered.com ?

www.hirepowered.com is the primary sponsor for The Wrestling Hotseat. They are a great website that allows users to register for free and post or build their resumes online and apply to a variety of different jobs. In addition to that, HirePowered.com also allows employers to register for free and post job openings for free (unheard of!) the resume purchasing system is patented and fits every budget from the mom and pop corner store to multi office national corporations. I strongly encourage anyone to post their resume on www.hirepowered.com

How can I become a sponsor?

Sponsorship of The Wrestling Hotseat is available for the cost of $1,000 USD for an entire year. Sponsorship includes a cube ad on every page of the website, a twenty second commercial spot on the audio interview program, and a video insert into the video interview program. Currently sponsorships for season one are completely filled. We are accepting sponsorships for season two that will begin airing September 1st. You can use the contact form to get in touch with us and we will contact you to discuss your potential sponsorship.

Can I download and reupload the shows?

You can download the shows for playback on your computer at anytime or your iTunes playlist. However, the shows are copywritten and may not be reuploaded onto other video platforms without express written permission. I appreciate anyone who would like to reupload the shows, but currently we use a syndication company and the shows will be available on all major internet video channels. If you would like to promote the show, contact me via the contact form and we can send you a banner to include on your website.

Do you watch WWE or TNA?

Absolutely! Though not religiously. It seemed that the older I got, the less WWE intrigued me. TNA seemed like a viable alternative, but I feel that sometimes their stories are hard to follow and are unnecessarily convoluted. I am very busy and I don't have time to watch their programming every time it airs. I prefer wrestling to be more cut and dry, good guys and bad guys with compelling, long running storylines and feuds that don't require a serious investment of time to get into. With that said, I do find certain aspects of both companies entertaining, however, if it were up to me, it would be NWA 1987 forever.

Who the $#*& are you?

My name is William Hatfield, I am the marketing director for a large firm in Tampa, Florida. I am a published author, poet, and editorialist. I am also the former writer for the comic book title Evolutionaries and also a fairly accomplished indie musician.

What does MyVirtualBc stand for?

My Virtual Business Card dot com is a subsection of this website where I make and host a virtual business card for people who either don't want a full blown website or having a website is not in their budget. The cost is $50, a one time fee and the card will be hosted with an easy to remember URL and will be around as long as the site exist or 2015, whichever comes later. It's primarily designed for small business owners or employees that aren't featured on a corporate website who would like to have a web presence that doesn't necessarily require a full blown multi page website. You can click HERE to find out more about it.
